Change the interface language
Learn where the ATSReady interface language control lives, which languages are currently supported, what that change does not rewrite, and how the documentation and the extension choose their language.
On this page
Changing the interface language changes ATSReady's own labels and messages. It does not rewrite your stored text.
Where the control is
The interface language switcher is in Preferences, above the accordion sections.

Current supported interface languages
- English
- Français
- Español
- Deutsch
- Português
- Suomi
What changes immediately
- navigation labels
- buttons
- headings
- status and message text that ATSReady renders
What does not change automatically
- your existing journey notes and other stored text
- a résumé's own language setting
- market-driven résumé behavior such as page size and localized document conventions
If part of the app still appears in English
ATSReady falls back to English where a string is not currently translated.
The documentation and the extension
This documentation has its own language menu, at the end of the bar across the top of every page: a globe with the code of the language you are reading. Picking a language opens the same page in that language, and this browser remembers the choice for the pages you open next. Automatic, at the top of the menu, forgets that choice and follows your browser's language preferences again. Until you pick one, an English page you open switches to the first of your browser's languages that the documentation is written in, and stays in English when that first match is English or there is none. The documentation does not read your account, so changing the interface language in the app does not change it.
The Chrome extension does follow your account. While you are signed in, its side panel uses your interface language, and changing the language in the panel changes this same setting for the app. See Change the extension's language for what it does while you are signed out.
