Where to get the ATSReady Chrome extension, what it adds to Chrome, and how to sign in to its side panel.

The ATSReady extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and this page links to the listing, as the app does from two of its own screens. Once it is installed, clicking the toolbar icon opens the ATSReady side panel.

Where to get it

Install it from the ATSReady job saver listing on the Chrome Web Store. That destination is resolved when this site is built rather than typed into the page, so it is the listing this documentation environment publishes. Today every environment resolves to the same one, because one ATSReady listing is known to exist and its address carries dev. That is expected rather than a mistake: it is the same listing the app links to from both screens below.

ATSReady puts the install link on the two screens inside your account where you are most likely to want it:

  • the empty job board on /jobs, under Install the ATSReady Chrome extension, where it sits under Add a job as the second option,
  • and the Add a job dialog, when a pasted link cannot be read and the extension is the better route.

All three routes reach the same listing. Searching the store by name does not: the store returns whatever matches the words you typed, and a result that is not this listing is not the extension these pages describe.

The extension requires Chrome, or another Chromium browser that supports Chrome side panels and the Chrome Web Store.

What the extension adds to Chrome

The manifest enables:

  • a Chrome side panel,
  • a background service worker,
  • and a content script that can detect job pages.

What to do next

  1. Open the extension from the Chrome toolbar.
  2. Choose Sign in with Google in the ATSReady panel. Google is the only sign-in method the extension offers, as it is in the web app, so use the Google account your ATSReady account is on.
  3. Open a job posting page. The extension only offers to save pages it recognises — see Why the extension stayed quiet.
  4. Use the side panel or the in-page save control, described on Save a job with the extension.
