Walkthroughs

Every other section of this documentation is named for a part of the product: Resumes, Jobs, Settings and account. A walkthrough is named for a situation instead, because the situations people arrive with do not stay inside one part of the product. Getting a first resume out of ATSReady touches sign-in, import, Professional Identity, templates and export. There is no single section that page could live in without hiding it from the other four.

What a walkthrough gives you

Each one starts where you are, runs to a finished result, and names the wrong turns along the way. It links out to the reference page for every screen it passes, so it does not repeat what a section page already says. Read it top to bottom once; come back to the section pages for the detail. If you are new to ATSReady, start with You have a resume file and nothing else.

The walkthroughs

Listed in the order they are published, which is the order the navigation uses.

• You have a resume file and nothing else — sign in, import the file, check what was read out of it, choose a template, and export something you can send.
• You found a job and want to know if it is worth it — save the posting, then read the four separate readings ATSReady gives you and learn which question each one answers.
• You have an interview on Thursday — attach the job to the conversation, pick a round, and rehearse by typing or out loud.
• You did something at work and want it on record — write it up in Professional Journey and push it onto a resume.
• You need a cover letter tonight — generate one against a saved job, or write it yourself, and recognise which of the refusals you are looking at.
• You are applying to a job in another country — set the target market, the photo and personal-field policy, the document's own language, and the language you export in.
• You switched the interface language and half your content is still English — what content translation covers, what it leaves alone, and why one entry point asks first.
• Your import finished and it says 0 years of experience — trace the figure back to the dates extraction dropped, and choose between fixing them by hand and importing again.

When to read one instead

• You know what you want and not which parts of ATSReady are involved.
• Something finished, but it finished wrong, and you need the way back.
• You are doing a thing for the first time and want to know what the end looks like.
