Chat limits

The current ATSReady limits for chat messages, mock interviews, job searches, model escalations, message length, and spoken interview minutes.

ATSReady chat limits are per user. Starting a new thread does not reset them. The plan names in the tables below are defined on What each plan includes.

The allowance readout on the chat lobby, directly under the explanation of where the questions come from.
The limit is stated where the choice is made, not after it. What it counts is rounds, not messages.

Per rolling day

Limit Free Basic Pro Pro+
Messages 20 100 300 600
Mock interviews 0 1 3 6
Job searches 0 0 5 10
Retries on the larger model 0 2 10 25

The last row is not something you ask for. When a turn does not come back usable, ATSReady retries it on a larger model; that row caps how often per day it will.

Per calendar month

  • Spoken mock-interview minutes are metered per calendar month, and only Pro+ has any. The number is deliberately not shown anywhere in the product, and it is not published here either: a figure nobody can see on screen is a figure nobody can check, and documenting it would make this page the only place it exists.

This is the one limit here on a calendar month rather than a rolling day, so it resets on the first of the month rather than as the day rolls over.

Other hard limits

  • Maximum message length: 8,000 characters. Over it, the composer says how far over you are and holds Send until you trim it. Nothing you typed is cleared.
  • Mock-interview turn cap per round: 0 / 2 / 4 / 8 by tier.

What Free chat reaches

Free chat is a working chat within its message allowance, but it reaches none of the assistant's gated capabilities — every one of them starts at Basic or above. See what chat can do for which plan each capability needs.

Speaking in a mock interview

There is no separate voice chat product, and no way to talk to the assistant outside an interview. Answering aloud is a choice made on a mock-interview round — the Speaking option under Answer by — and it is included from Pro+, which is the only tier with a monthly allowance for it at all. See mock interviews.
