Reset or delete your data
Understand exactly what the ATSReady profile reset and delete-all-data actions remove, what survives each one, and which of the two asks you to confirm harder.

ATSReady has two destructive actions. They remove almost the same things, and the one that asks you to confirm hardest is not the one that removes more.
The two destructive actions

What both actions delete
Both run the same purge, so both remove resumes and their uploaded files, jobs with their notes, contacts, interviews and cover letters, the tracker board and its columns, every Professional Journey entry, your Professional Identity and its suggestions, your skills, your processing history, and your notifications.
Both also delete your preferences — the whole of the Preferences page: Contact, Links, Location, Eligibility, Compensation, Role & Experience, Work Arrangement, and your interface language along with them.
That last part is worth reading twice, because the Delete All Data confirmation dialog lists "Settings and preferences" among the things it preserves, and preferences are not preserved. What does survive is the separate set of General-page settings, such as your default resume template. The Reset Profile dialog states the deletion correctly.
If your preference sections matter to you, write them down before you confirm either action.
What survives both
- your account and your ability to sign in
- your subscription and billing history
- your chat threads and conversations, though a thread loses the job, resume, or entry it was attached to, because those records are gone
The only difference between them
Reset Profile additionally cancels any live setup session, clears your onboarding history, and marks setup incomplete, so ATSReady reopens Get started as a first-run flow. Delete All Data leaves your onboarding state alone.
Before you confirm
The confirmation strength is inverted, and this is the trap:
- Delete All Data opens a dialog listing what goes and what stays, and will not enable its
button until you type
DELETE. - Reset Profile — which deletes everything the other one does and your onboarding history — confirms in a single click. There is nothing to type.
So the more destructive action is the easier one to trigger by accident. Read the dialog title before you click the confirm button, not after.
