Free trial
What every new ATSReady account is given when it is created, when that trial ends, what happens to your access then, and what still reads as Free while it runs.
On this page
Every new ATSReady account starts with a free trial of Pro+ access. It is granted with the account, so there is nothing to choose, nothing to apply for, and no card to add.
Trial facts
- duration: a fixed number of days, counted from the day the account was created. The exact length is shown in the product — the trial banner states it, and the account page shows the date it ends
- what it gives: Pro+ access — see What each plan includes for what that reaches
- how you get it: automatically, with the account — there is no rule left to meet and no request to make
- your stored plan stays Free for the whole trial
If your account existed before the trial became automatic, the same trial was granted to it, and a welcome notice says so the first time you sign in after it starts.
Why this page does not print the number. The trial's length is a setting, not a constant, and this page is built from a file rather than from the live value — so a number written here would be right on the day it was written and silently wrong afterwards. The product always knows: the banner while the trial runs, and the end date on the account page. The public pricing page and its FAQ do state a number, because those are rebuilt from the configured value.
There is nothing to start
There is no trial control in the product: not on the pricing page, not in settings, and not on the Account page. The trial is already running the first time you sign in, and the only decision it asks of you is what to do when it ends. See Upgrade your plan and manage billing for the rest of what happens on the pricing page.
What the trial changes
The trial unlocks Pro+ access for the trial period, and nothing about that access is metered differently because it arrived as a trial.
What happens when it ends
When the trial runs out, the account moves to the Free plan. Nothing is charged and nothing you made is removed — your resumes, jobs, and journal stay where they are, and the capabilities above Free lock the way they do on any Free account. A notice on the page says what switched off and what you keep, and points at the plans if you want to keep the access.
What does not change
The trial gives you access, not ownership, and the product tracks those separately. Your stored plan is still Free for the whole trial, and that shows:
- the Account page names the tier you are trialing and marks it with a Trial badge, so the plan and the entitlement rows read correctly
- there is no Upgrade and no Manage Subscription button while the trial runs: there is no purchase to manage, and nothing to upgrade from, so the subscription block offers neither
- the payment section may still invite you to add a card
None of that means the trial is not working. Check the entitlement rows rather than the buttons if you want to confirm your access. Manage your account details explains that page block by block.
Where you see trial status
The account menu shows a countdown row naming the tier you are trialing and the days left. The subscription block on the Account page shows the same countdown, the date the trial ends, and what happens on that date.
The trial banner that goes with it is dismissible, and the dismissal is stored in your browser rather than on your account — see What this browser remembers.
